Mint 1951 Framed Stamps
Mint framed stamps from 1951. These stamps were issued in 1951 when everything was fairly basic until the 1960s. The set shows all the stamps as they were then used from half d to 4d in pre-decimal currency. Although the stamps look similar to the previous year in style this was a complete new issue, the colours of all the stamps were changed and there was no 3d stamp issued. Consequently the first 6 stamps include the 4d stamp. Available with stamps on a white or dark green background.
At that time George VI was King and he was played by Colin Firth in the 2010 film 'The King's Speech. If you would like stamps for a particular year for a birthday gift or celebration then please contact us and we will do our best to help.
