These framed postage stamps from 1980 show four of the much loved castles in the UK: The Tower of London, Holyrood house in Edinburgh, Caernarvon Castle in Wales and Hampton Court in London.

The stamps themselves were first issued in I978 (as shown in the second image). The miniature sheet shown framed was issued in 1980 and was the very first miniature sheet to be produced in the UK. Today a miniature sheet is issued with virtually every new set of stamps so this one is something special.
