These framed postage stamps issued in 1970 show the famous 'Penny Black', the '4d Carmine Red' and the 'Embossed 1/- or One Shilling Green'. The 'Penny Black' was the first British stamp issued in 1840 and these stamps were the last to be issued in pre-decimal currency apart from the 1970 Christmas stamps. The stamps were produced for the Philympia International Stamp Exhibition in 1970.
