Linnean Society 1988 Framed Stamps
Framed stamps for the Linnean Society from 1988. These stamps were issued for the bicentenary of The Linnean Society in 1988. The society based in London is the world‰۪s oldest active biological society. The unique collections are of fundamental importance as a primary reference for taxonomy and the classification of living things. Since the society was established in 1778 many items in the collection consist of hand drawn illustration as shown in the stamps
