Jane Austen framed stamps which were issued to commemorate the bicentenary of her birth in 1975. The four lovely etchings show Emma and Mr Woodhouse from 'Emma', Catherine Morland from 'Northanger Abbey', Mary and Henry Crawford from 'Mansfield Park' and Mr Darcy (before Colin Firth's time) from 'Pride and Prejudice'.
