First Man on the Moon, Apollo 11, framed stamps, USA 1969. This was the year that humans landed on the moon and these genuine mint framed stamps were issued in the USA to commemorate this achievement. There was only one stamp issued so these have been framed as a set of four showing a person getting down from the spacecraft onto the moon's surface. The engraved master die to this stamp travelled with the astronauts all the way to the moon‰۪s surface and an envelope bearing a proof of the stamp was also cancelled in the space module. The first men to walk on the moon were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on July 20th 1969 from the Apollo 11 Mission.
